Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

Supporting healthcare revenue cycle operations, the full-time Patient Access Representative will manage payer notifications for inpatient and observation admissions in a 100% remote environment, ensuring accurate submissions and collaboration with various operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily admission reports to identify accounts needing payer notification
• Submit Notification of Admission requests to various third-party payers and document all communications
• Collaborate with operational teams to resolve issues and maintain compliance with payer requirements

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of education
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or patient access operations
• Working knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payer requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
• Professional experience documenting payer interactions and account activities clearly
