Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Representative (REMOTE).

Key Responsibilities

• Request and obtain prescriptions and authorizations from medical offices and insurance companies
• Contact physicians and patients to ensure accurate documentation of scheduled services
• Re-verify patient eligibility for continued services and meet performance metrics set by management

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years in a related administrative/customer service role, preferably in healthcare or a medical office
• Associates Degree in medical office management, medical insurance, or medical coding is preferred
• Experience with insurance authorization and/or precertification
• Medical Billing and Coding Certification is a plus
