Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Access Representative who will advocate for patients and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from new and existing patients and obtain necessary demographic and insurance information
- Schedule patient appointments and handle referrals while using critical thinking to resolve patient issues
- Manage multiple systems for documentation and appointment scheduling, including responding to time-sensitive communications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- Experience with EMR systems, such as NextGen, is preferred
- Knowledge of patient appointment scheduling is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to maintain a professional and empathetic tone during high call volumes
