Job Summary
To ensure timely and accurate patient registration, the part-time Patient Access Representative will interview patients for account information, verify insurance, calculate patient liabilities, and manage necessary paperwork, with the option for remote work upon meeting productivity targets.
Key responsibilities
- Interview patients to gather pertinent account information and ensure accurate registration
- Verify insurance details and calculate patient liability amounts while obtaining necessary signatures for treatment
- Check and attach physician orders to patient records to ensure appropriate tests are administered
Required qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent is preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience is preferred
- Experience in patient registration or a related healthcare field is advantageous
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes is beneficial
- Ability to follow guidelines and instructions from senior staff
