Job Summary

To support patient access initiatives, the full-time Patient Access Representative will act as the first point of contact for customers, managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and documenting interactions in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist inbound callers and make outbound calls as needed, utilizing facility information and established procedures to enhance the patient experience
  • Schedule patient appointments, verify insurance coverage, and update patient information in the electronic medical record
  • Identify and escalate complex problems, ensuring effective triage and customer service according to departmental standards
Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 year of experience in a call center, healthcare, or customer service-related role
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customer needs
  • Familiarity with using a multiple-line telephone system and basic computer skills
