Job Summary
Representing the highest standard of customer service, the full-time Patient Access Representative will facilitate patient scheduling, registration, and financial clearance processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, registration, and benefit verification to ensure a smooth entrance into Mercy facilities
- Obtain and accurately populate patient data into records, ensuring compliance with insurance and Medicare guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with patients, healthcare staff, and insurance companies
Required qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
- 1-3 years of clerical and customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines with high accuracy
