Job Summary
To support patient care operations, the full-time Patient Access Representative will manage patient registration and scheduling tasks, including greeting patients, verifying demographics, and coordinating appointments in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform patient registration by verifying demographics, creating electronic files, and managing related paperwork
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures, obtain referrals, and coordinate interpreter services as needed
- Address registration issues, manage work queues, and assist with financial arrangements and co-payments
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education is helpful
- One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial; customer service skills are essential
- Six months of customer service experience desired
- BLS certification may be required for certain locations and/or settings
