Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

Proactively managing prescriptions and insurance authorizations, the remote Patient Access Representative will work closely with medical offices and insurance payers to ensure accurate documentation and timely support for patient services.

Key responsibilities

• Request and obtain prescriptions and authorizations from medical offices and insurance companies
• Follow up with providers and payers to ensure timely receipt of required documentation
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
• 2+ years of healthcare administrative, medical office, or insurance-related experience
• Experience with insurance authorizations or precertifications preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Home health, DME, or enteral experience is a plus
