Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

To support a remote healthcare environment, the full-time Patient Access Representative will facilitate insurance and benefit analysis, manage patient appointments, and coordinate with insurance companies to ensure timely reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate insurance and benefit analysis prior to service delivery
• Obtain necessary authorizations and secure insurance referral requirements
• Mentor fellow Patient Benefit co-workers and ensure compliance with payor requirements

Required qualifications

• Strong understanding of insurance terminology and medical insurance plans
• Experience in financial clearance processes, including payment plans and bad debt resolution
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and insurance companies
• Proficiency in handling multiple tasks under stress while maintaining accuracy
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks during shifts
