Job Summary
Representing the organization with the highest standard of customer service, the full-time Patient Access Representative will facilitate patient scheduling, registration, benefit verification, and financial clearance in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, registration, and pre-visit collections to ensure a smooth entrance into the facility
- Verify patient benefits and obtain accurate data for patient records while adhering to insurance and Medicare guidelines
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, physicians, and insurance companies to support effective communication and service delivery
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of clerical and customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- High school diploma required; some college education is beneficial
- Familiarity with medical terminology and various insurance plans preferred
- Proficiency in using computer systems and a 10-key calculator
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
