Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

Representing the organization with exceptional customer service, the full-time Patient Access Representative will facilitate patient scheduling, registration, and financial clearance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage patient scheduling, registration, benefit verification, and pre-certification processes
• Ensure accurate patient data is obtained and populated in the patient record
• Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and accreditation requirements

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college education preferred
• 1-3 years of clerical experience preferred, with familiarity in medical terminology and insurance plans
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish positive relationships with patients and staff
• Experience with various computer systems and proficiency in using a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard
