Patient Access Representative II

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Patient Access Representative II will manage the acquisition and documentation of referrals and authorizations for patient services, working remotely while residing in the Tampa Bay region.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate with primary care physicians and insurance companies to obtain necessary referrals prior to patient appointments
• Document all authorizations accurately in the system and advise patients on potential authorization issues
• Collaborate with the Billing/Collections department to resolve previously denied claims and confirm benefits with the Benefit Verification Rep

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment
• Experience with registration, scheduling, and healthcare benefits is preferred
• Proficiency in using Windows-based computer systems and typing skills
• Ability to manage high call volumes and multitask effectively
