Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time Patient Access Resource Specialist will manage scheduling, referral management, and financial clearance for the Connected Care Center, ensuring seamless patient care coordination across multiple clinical specialties.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers while managing scheduling and referral inquiries
- Ensure administrative and financial preparation of patients prior to their visits, including verification of insurance coverage and eligibility for financial assistance
- Process incoming referrals and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Required qualifications
- One year of experience in a medical office setting with high-volume direct patient contact and appointment scheduling
- Thorough knowledge of Patient Access Services (PAS) policies and procedures
- Demonstrated advanced user skills in PAS systems and integrated care knowledge
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and online scheduling
- Ability to handle high volumes of patient interactions and multitask effectively in a busy environment
