Job Summary
Working remotely, the part-time Patient Access Scheduler will manage patient appointment scheduling needs, coordinate demographic and insurance information, and provide pre-appointment instructions while ensuring compliance with protocols.
Key responsibilities
- Utilizes technology to identify and satisfy patient appointment scheduling needs
- Coordinates all aspects of patient scheduling according to established protocols
- Notifies callers of changes in appointment scheduling and escalates issues when necessary
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in healthcare or a professional service industry
- Proven ability to maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality
- Strong telephone management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively listen and resolve patient complaints with professionalism
