Job Summary

To support a growing pediatric practice, the full-time Patient Access Scheduler will manage incoming calls, schedule patient appointments across various divisions, and initiate billing processes while telecommuting during standard business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Answers telephones promptly and professionally, notifying referring offices of patient appointment details
• Schedules, cancels, and modifies patient examinations as necessary, ensuring accuracy in scheduling modalities
• Participates in education programs to maintain current skills and competency levels

Required qualifications

• Experience in a scheduling or patient access role
• Proficiency in scheduling systems and software
• Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance verification
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare training preferred
