Job Summary

Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will manage scheduling, referral management, and financial clearance for patients in the Connected Care Center, while working onsite in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Handle patient scheduling requests and inquiries through various channels, ensuring accurate information is recorded in the electronic medical record
  • Conduct financial screenings and confirm patient eligibility for healthcare coverage, managing administrative preparations prior to patient visits
  • Process incoming referrals and maintain communication with referring providers to ensure all necessary information is obtained for patient care
Required qualifications
  • One year of experience in a medical office setting with direct patient contact and appointment scheduling, or one and a half years in a high-volume public contact role plus six months in a medical office
  • Thorough knowledge of Patient Access Services policies and procedures
  • Advanced user skills in Patient Access Services systems and familiarity with integrated care
  • Basic computer skills, including word processing and online scheduling
  • Ability to effectively manage high volumes of patient calls and multitask in a busy environment
