Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete patient pre-registration and maintain accurate insurance and guarantor records
• Verify patient insurance coverage and resolve discrepancies before services are rendered
• Provide virtual and remote registration support for patient encounters and respond to urgent registration needs

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in patient registration or healthcare administration in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Understanding of HIPAA and hospital policies regarding data security and patient privacy
• Ability to work in a primarily remote or back-office environment with minimal patient interaction
