Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Account Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform financial clearance functions including insurance verification and patient registration
• Educate patients on insurance benefits and ensure accounts are cleared prior to service
• Collect patient financial obligations and maintain accurate documentation in the system of record

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma; continued education preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting related to Patient Access and/or billing
• Strong knowledge of insurance and financial processing of accounts
• Proficient in EPIC ADT system
• Certification such as CHAA or CHAM preferred
