Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Specialist who is motivated and detail-oriented with experience in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with intake, clinical, and billing teams to gather required documentation
• Prepare, submit, and track authorization requests to insurance payers in a timely manner
• Monitor authorization statuses and proactively follow up to prevent delays in patient care

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in healthcare, preferably in respiratory or durable medical equipment (DME)
• Strong knowledge of insurance authorization processes
• Experience with Brightree or similar healthcare management systems required
• Medical Reimbursement background is preferred
