Job Summary

Responding to a high volume of appointment requests, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will manage scheduling for medical exams and procedures remotely while demonstrating knowledge of insurance and provider protocols.

Key responsibilities
  • Triages incoming calls and requests professionally, ensuring timely scheduling of appointments
  • Completes scheduling from work queues, handling various appointment types including referrals and cancellations
  • Documents and distributes messages regarding clinical inquiries to ensure efficient communication among healthcare providers
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical office or call center experience
  • Entry-level computer skills as required by the department
  • Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
  • Accurate data entry skills
