Job Summary

Providing advanced support across the client journey, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will independently resolve complex insurance, authorization, billing, and care-readiness issues while working remotely in PST, MST, or CST time zones.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing patient, family, referral source, and insurance inquiries through various communication channels
  • Manage high-complexity insurance workflows and conduct proactive outreach to ensure timely client appointments and care continuity
  • Maintain accurate documentation in CRM/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and internal policies
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or relevant coursework preferred
  • 2-3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, patient access, insurance verification, or medical billing
  • Demonstrated success in a high-volume environment meeting SLAs and quality metrics
  • Proficiency with EHR/CRM systems and knowledge of insurance terminology
  • Prior experience in telehealth or multi-state healthcare environments preferred
