Job Summary

To enhance the patient experience, the full-time Patient Access Resource Specialist will serve as the primary contact for new patient scheduling at OHSU Ambulatory Clinics, coordinating appointments and managing patient information while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Accurately verify and update patient information, creating new medical records as needed
  • Manage incoming calls and schedule new patient appointments while ensuring all necessary documentation is collected
  • Contribute to patient satisfaction initiatives by resolving inquiries and maintaining a positive patient experience
Required qualifications
  • One year of experience in a medical office setting with high-volume patient contact, or one and a half years in a public contact position plus six months in a medical office
  • Thorough knowledge of Patient Access Services policies and procedures
  • Advanced skills in using Patient Access Systems and familiarity with integrated care at OHSU
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with online scheduling and database management
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume environment
