Job Summary
To support practice operations, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will manage a high volume of appointment requests and scheduling for medical exams and procedures in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Responds to and triages incoming calls and requests regarding appointment scheduling and patient inquiries
- Completes scheduling from work queues, including managing reschedules and waitlist appointments
- Documents and distributes messages related to clinical questions and patient instructions for pre-visit activities
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of medical office or call center experience
- Entry-level computer skills as required by the department
- Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Accurate data entry skills
