Job Summary

To support practice operations, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will manage a high volume of appointment requests remotely, including scheduling medical exams and procedures while ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information collection.

Key responsibilities
  • Responds to and triages incoming calls and requests in a professional manner, demonstrating knowledge of practice protocols and payer contracts
  • Schedules patient appointments and communicates necessary pre-visit instructions, including insurance requirements and items to bring
  • Documents and distributes messages regarding clinical inquiries and referrals to ensure timely responses from healthcare providers
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical office or call center experience
  • Entry-level computer skills as required by the department
  • Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
  • Accurate data entry skills
