Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service and managing patient interactions, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will work remotely, assisting patients with scheduling, insurance verification, and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while residing in IL, IN, IA, MO, or WI.
Key responsibilities:
- Consistently practice a Patients First philosophy and provide high standards of customer service
- Collect and verify patient demographic information and assist with scheduling appointments
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding insurance and financial matters, ensuring a positive first impression
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience
- Proficiency in computer data entry and typing at least 40 wpm
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
