Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service in a full-time remote capacity, the Patient Access Specialist will manage patient interactions, schedule appointments, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining a positive first impression of the healthcare organization.
Key responsibilities
- Consistently practice a Patients First philosophy and provide high standards of customer service
- Collect and verify patient demographic information and manage appointment scheduling effectively
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance eligibility, financial accounts, and any issues that arise during the scheduling process
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience
- Proficiency in computer data-entry and basic computer skills
- Ability to type 40 wpm
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
