Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Patient Access Specialist will serve as the primary contact for patients and healthcare providers, facilitating access to therapy through benefit investigations, insurance verification, and support for prior authorizations and patient assistance programs while ensuring compliance and high-quality service.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and stakeholders
- Conduct insurance benefit investigations and support prior authorizations and appeals processes
- Provide ongoing patient support and manage patient caseloads with timely follow-up
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5+ years of experience in medical billing, reimbursement, or insurance verification
- Robust understanding of payer coverage and reimbursement (medical and pharmacy)
- Experience in a contact center or patient support environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
