Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

To support a fast-paced healthcare environment, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will manage the timely creation, submission, and follow-up of authorization requests to payers while working in a hybrid setting of two days onsite and three days remote in King of Prussia, PA.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with intake, clinical, and billing teams to gather required documentation for authorization requests
• Prepare, submit, and track authorization requests to insurance payers, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Monitor authorization statuses and proactively follow up to prevent delays in patient care

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in healthcare, preferably in respiratory therapy or durable medical equipment (DME)
• Strong knowledge of insurance authorization processes
• Experience with Brightree or similar healthcare management systems
• Medical Reimbursement background is preferred
