Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

To support front-end revenue cycle and clinic functions, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will coordinate complex duties remotely, including verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining necessary authorizations, and serving as a resource for lower-level staff while maintaining accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for patient accounts
• Verify insurance eligibility and notify patients and referring physicians of any issues
• Collaborate with scheduling departments and maintain accurate records and documentation

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
• Certification or licensing as applicable to the department
• Proficiency in office software and relevant computer applications
• Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changing priorities
