Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

To support healthcare operations, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will review and validate insurance eligibility, manage prior authorization processes, and communicate with third-party payers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient registration and confirm benefit coverage, including deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses
• Ensure prior authorization for medical services is completed and collaborate with provider offices to gather necessary documentation
• Document work in the case management module and provide direction to cross-functional teams regarding required actions

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education is helpful
• Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting required
• Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes is necessary
• Proficiency with office equipment and computers is required
