Job Summary

To support healthcare operations, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will review and validate insurance eligibility and prior authorizations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and verify necessary documentation for insurance eligibility and prior authorization processes
• Communicate with third-party payers and healthcare professionals to prioritize requests and clarify medical necessity documentation
• Document work in case management modules and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage patient referrals and appeals

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education is helpful
• Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting required
• Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes is essential
• Proficiency with office equipment and computers is required
