Job Summary
Responding to a high volume of appointment requests, the full-time Patient Access Specialist II will manage scheduling for medical exams and procedures remotely, ensuring effective communication with patients and providers.
Key responsibilities
- Triages and answers incoming calls and requests professionally, demonstrating knowledge of scheduling protocols and payer contracts
- Completes scheduling from work queues, including rescheduling and waitlist management, while providing patients with necessary pre-visit instructions
- Documents and distributes clinical inquiries and referral information accurately to ensure timely responses from healthcare providers
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or call center
- Entry-level computer skills as required by the department
- Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Accurate data entry skills
