Job Summary
To facilitate efficient operations and optimal customer satisfaction, the remote Patient Access Specialist II will manage complex patient access activities, including registration, insurance verification, and resolving patient issues, during a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Performs complex registration activities, including verifying patient information and processing payments
- Handles insurance coverage eligibility, verification, and authorization requirements using available systems
- Resolves complex patient issues and provides training and support to other patient access specialists
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of customer service experience, with 2 years in healthcare patient access operations
- Minimum of 2 years of prior authorization experience in insurance
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- National Association of Healthcare Access Management CHAA Certification preferred
- Healthcare Financial Management Association CRCR Certification preferred
