Job Summary
Responding to a high volume of appointment requests, the full-time Patient Access Specialist III will manage scheduling for medical exams, procedures, and tests remotely while serving as an escalation point for complex inquiries from junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Handle appointment requests via telephone, email, and electronic messages
- Collect demographic information and perform insurance registration as needed
- Assist Specialists I and II with complex scheduling requests and questions
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of medical office or call center experience
- Strong computer skills relevant to the department's needs
- Proficient in customer service and phone etiquette
- Accurate data entry skills
