Patient Account Associate

Job Summary

Providing exceptional service, the full-time remote Patient Account Associate will manage payment postings, resolve account discrepancies, and initiate payer recoupments while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Research and validate payment postings, making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate account handling
• Initiate and follow up on payer recoupments and refunds to achieve timely account resolution
• Navigate various payer claim portals and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• One (1) year of experience in hospital or physician back-end revenue cycle management required
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required
• Understanding of medical terminology and payment handling processes
• Ability to operate computers and office equipment effectively
