Patient Account Associate II

Job Summary

Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time remote Patient Account Associate II will manage credit balances by researching payment postings, initiating recoupments and refunds, and ensuring compliance with payer contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Researches and validates payment postings, making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate account resolution
• Initiates and follows up on payer recoupments, refunds, and patient refunds in accordance with established procedures
• Trains new and existing associates while effectively communicating with team members and clients

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• One (1) year of experience in hospital or physician back-end revenue cycle required
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required
• Two (2) years of experience in hospital or physician insurance-related activities preferred
• Advanced knowledge of revenue cycle processes and health insurance payers
