Patient Account Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with payers to resolve outstanding claims in a timely manner
• Review and update patient and financial information for accuracy
• Analyze and resolve issues causing payment delays, including initiating appeals when necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years of experience in insurance collections and hospital/facility billing
• Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including ICD-9/10 and CPT codes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with various workflow systems
• Understanding of government, Medicare, and Medicaid claims
