Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve patient account balances by contacting third-party payors and patients
• Document account activities and maintain productivity and quality standards
• Assist with special projects and escalate payment delays to management

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
• 1-4 years of medical claims and/or hospital collections experience
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate patient accounting applications
• Minimum typing requirement of 45 words per minute
• Understanding of the revenue cycle process and familiarity with insurance types such as Medicare and Medicaid
