Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative responsible for managing patient accounts and ensuring timely resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve uncollected account balances by contacting third-party payors and patients
• Document account activities and maintain productivity goals while ensuring compliance with regulations
• Assist with special projects and communicate issues related to account workflows or payer behavior

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
• 1-4 years of experience in medical claims and/or hospital collections
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate various system applications
• Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
• Familiarity with Commercial, Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid collections preferred
