Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative responsible for collections, account follow-up, and billing allowance posting.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with payers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims
• Monitor and update patient and financial information for accuracy
• Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays, initiating appeals as necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years of experience in insurance collections and hospital/facility billing
• Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including ICD-9/10 and CPT codes
• Familiarity with workflow systems such as STAR, SMS, EAGLE, and EPIC
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
