Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative responsible for managing collections, account follow-up, and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with payers to resolve outstanding claims and ensure timely billing
• Monitor and update patient and financial information for accuracy
• Analyze and resolve issues causing payment delays, including initiating appeals as necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years of experience in insurance collections and hospital/facility billing
• Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including relevant coding systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Medical Billing and Coding certification preferred but not required
