Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative.
Key Responsibilities
- Review insurance coverage and determine patient financial responsibility prior to service delivery
- Submit, track, and manage insurance claims, including follow-ups on denials and appeals processing
- Communicate with patients and internal teams to resolve billing and account discrepancies
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare, or related field with 1+ year of medical/DME billing experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification, claims submission, denial management, and appeals processes
- Proficiency with Windows-based systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience using claims management or healthcare billing software is preferred
