Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative responsible for collections, account follow-up, and billing allowance posting.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with payers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims
• Review and update patient and financial information accurately
• Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays and initiate appeals when necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years' experience in insurance collections, including submitting and following up on claims
• Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including ICD-9/10, CPT, and HCPC codes
• Experience in Hospital/Facility billing required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
