Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative for a remote position in diversified business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage billing and collection processes for outpatient pharmacy, durable medical equipment, and other business lines
• Perform service pre-certification, insurance coverage review, and claims submissions
• Communicate with patients and internal staff to resolve account and billing issues

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in finance, business, or healthcare related fields with 1 year of relevant experience, or
• High school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or
• Certified pharmacy technician with 2 years of experience
• Experience with Windows-based software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and keyboarding
• Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Certification preferred
