Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative I.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer service, collections, cash posting, and billing tasks as assigned
• Bill hospital and physician claims for inpatients and outpatients within insurance time filing limits
• Follow up with third party payors to obtain payment and resolve patient accounts

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate Degree in Health Care, Finance, or related area preferred
• Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-1 preferred
• One year of experience in hospital financial or patient services preferred
