Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle billing for hospital and physician claims for inpatients and outpatients
• Follow up with third-party payors to obtain payment and resolve patient accounts
• Maintain patient accounts and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate Degree in Health Care, Finance, or a related area preferred
• Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
• One year of experience in hospital financial or patient services preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
