Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative I.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle billing for hospital and physician claims, ensuring compliance with insurance time filing limits
• Perform follow-up with third-party payors to resolve patient accounts and obtain payments
• Maintain patient accounts in billing and claims editing systems, responding to inquiries in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate Degree in Health Care, Finance, or a related area is preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
• Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
• One year of experience in hospital financial or patient services is preferred
