Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative 1.
Key Responsibilities
- Bill, process adjustments, and collect on accounts to ensure timely payment
- Perform proactive follow-up with third parties to secure payments and resolve account issues
- Analyze accounts for coordination of benefits and ensure compliance with billing regulations
Required Qualifications
- Two years of recent experience in billing or collecting healthcare accounts; or four years of general collection, billing, or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) required within 18 months of hire
- Recent experience in medical collection and/or Medicare billing preferred
- Familiarity with billing Hospital claims or UB-04 claims
- Knowledge of managed care contracts and coding systems (DRG, CPT, HCPC, ICD-10) is advantageous
