Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

Patient Account Representative is a full-time position responsible for collections, account follow-up, and billing allowance posting for assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with payers for timely resolution of outstanding claims
• Review and update patient and financial information accurately
• Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays and initiate appeals when necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years' experience in insurance collections and hospital/facility billing
• Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including ICD-9/10 and CPT codes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and various workflow systems
• Medical Billing and Coding certification preferred but not required
