Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

To support a growing billing team, the part-time Patient Account Representative will manage patient billing inquiries, process payments, and verify insurance information while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve billing and payment issues by working closely with patients
• Research discrepancies in patient accounts and follow up on unpaid claims
• Communicate with insurance companies for prior authorizations and coverage verification

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and collections
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding, insurance regulations, and healthcare reimbursement policies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs
• Experience with multi-partnership billing and authorization preferred
